Triton returns to the Oasis Lounge at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with a Canapés & Cocktails Challenge that will crown one team of yacht crew “Best in Show.”
Triton’s Canapés & Cocktails Challenge will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Oasis Lounge and is sponsored Yacht Chandlers and Global Marine Travel’s Oasis Lounge. Teams of yacht crew will compete in a series of cooking rounds, with each team tasked with creating a selection of dishes using a range of ingredients and themes.
Participating crew will receive a mystery box of ingredients on Tuesday and will have 18 hours to prepare for the competition. The team will be required to prepare three canapés and a cocktail that complements the canapés. They will then present their dishes to a panel of judges in a beautifully set table complete with a tablescape and floral arrangements.
Teams will be judged on creativity, flavor profile, and overall presentation. Teams will consist of one chef and two other team members. Team members must be from the same crewed yacht which must be partaking in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Chef Danny Davies from “Behind the Line” will be the emcee for the competition and tie breaker vote should it be needed. The winning team will be crowned “Best in Show,” win a trophy with their names on it, and several other prizes.
